This year’s Vermont Design Awards Show is the second annual Vermont-wide curated design event. Come peruse this year’s best design work in each category. Winners will be announced at this event so come check out all of the outstanding work from your design community here in Vermont.

To cap off the evening, AIGA Vermont is honored to present the esteemed Design Fellow Award to Lyn Severance of Harvey|Severance Design. For 35 years, Lyn has been a warm and influential presence in the Vermont design community. A native Vermonter, Lyn grew up near her grandparents farm, studied at Syracuse University and Scotland, and eventually graduated from Parsons The New School for Design in New York City.

She made her way back to Vermont just in time to score a gig with a brand new ice cream shop – Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream. In her 18-year tenure with Ben & Jerry’s, Lyn’s style of illustration, hand-lettering, creative direction, and her ability to capture the zeitgeist, set the look that helped drive Ben & Jerry’s success.

Lyn continues to share her talent with entrepreneurial startups, specialty food producers and non-profit organizations to advance their good works. Lyn served AIGA Vermont as a Board member for 4 years and is still an active member. Lyn still likes ice cream (NY Super Fudge Chunk, this week), still doodles type and patterns, and believes, more than ever, that design can change the world.

There will be parking lot and street parking.
